About Me

Welcome

Hello, I’m Lauren Moloney, an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (BABCP) with over 16 years experience working in the field of mental health and wellbeing, including the past 5 years within the NHS supporting children and adolescents. I qualified as a High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist in 2025.

Alongside my NHS role, I run a part-time private practice, offering a warm, collaborative space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported in making meaningful changes in your life.

My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), while recognising that every person’s experiences, challenges, and strengths are unique. Therapy with me is a collaborative process, where we work together to better understand your experiences, build practical skills for managing emotions, and develop strategies that support you long after therapy has ended. My aim is not only to help you navigate current challenges, but to empower you with the confidence, insight, and tools to become your own therapist over time.

I have a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals, whether diagnosed, self-identifying, or exploring this for the first time. Drawing on both professional expertise and lived experience, I understand that many people can feel misunderstood, overwhelmed, or unsupported in navigating a world that may not feel designed for them.

My aim is to offer a space that feels affirming, compassionate, and adapted to you — helping you better understand yourself, reduce distress, and work with your strengths.
